When Hitler began his reign, he started by building up the German army and discriminating towards Jews. To do this he used radio, television, and the newspapers. He forced Germany to send out anti-Semitic messages to all the citizens. He also targeted children as he saw them as the most important group to influence. Also the easiest I feel because children haven’t really lived long enough to understand what it morally wrong and right. If there is something people don’t like, they protest and fight back. For example earlier this month a man tried to attack Donald Trump while giving his speech during a rally. He was subdued of course, but this just clarifies my statement that people are crazier these days. There is others ways to resist bureaucratic and institutionalized evils today of course. Peaceful protesting is a good way to do this. Much less violent and actually makes a difference. It can get violent though because sometimes such big groups form that the police force has to intervene. But even this doesn’t stop people from getting what they want. The world is much different than it was before. Now there are rules that people must abide too. Of course there is countries that are still under a dictatorship like North Korea. But that’s a completely different thing because North Korea is closed off to the rest of the world. People there can only do so much and it saddens me to see that they worship a man that claims to have the power to cure cancer. I honestly can’t think of any way to resist there but defying their leader which is a dangerous thing to do. The only thing to do is let time take its course and hope for the best.
