I have used it while in high school, on the job, and in the military. I currently used it while attending Claflin University talking with my professors, peers, and administrative personnel. In part “a” of my conversation, I used my text messages with a family friend who name is Davise Angevine. We have been friends or as we like to state, “Brothers from another mother” since 2011. He was totally fine with me using our dialogue for this class. As in part A, you will find slang, misspelled words, and grammatical errors. I used that language with most of my friends and family members except one. I do not utilize it with my cousin. He believes that it is pointless because it’s doing more harm than good. As a positive emotion, there are two ways that I look at it. The first positive way that I need to keep in mind is that I am practicing for the real world. By that I mean if I want to get a job, go into self-entrepreneurship, or represent a group or organization publicly, I will need to decode my talk. To be honest I think the reason for decoding is to sound professional, intelligent, and to be presentable at any given moment. The second positive way are to think as if I have my own business. I want to keep the workers, partners, and customers. By decoding my language, I will persuade them to stay with me rather than going to someone who does not decode their language. As a negative emotion, there are also two ways that I check this out. The first and most recent one is when my cousin invited me and his friend to go to an investing workshop with him. I was all down for it and ready to go. When we got there and started learning investment strategies, they would give us a short break. Every break my cousin went to one of the instructors and asked a few questions while I either watched him, got something to drink, or use the restroom. When we went back to his house that night he asked me why I never went to ask any questions. I told him that I was not sure how to phrase the questions in intelligent ways.
