According to the eating disorder foundation up to 11 million people in the US suffer from eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder. An eating disorder is a psychological illness that has serious emotional and physical problems that can have life threatening consequences for both males and females of all age groups. This could be eating only extremely small amounts of food or severely overeating. In many cases, people`s eating disorders may have started out as just simply being more cautious of their diet, but at some point, the urge to eat less or more spiraled out of control. The person will usually develop extreme emotions, attitudes and behaviors towards their own weight and unhealthy eating habits making it hard to come to terms with their diagnosis.
