Personally, as a child, I used to be outgoing, but as I became an adolescent, I started to develop a mild case of Social Anxiety. As I read this article, I felt delighted that researchers are finding ways to discover the origin of this disorder. Also, I hope that this study helps to create new therapies that can help in ending Social Anxiety Disorder forever. The reality is that there are not enough treatments offered to young individuals that suffer from this disorder and new ones are needed.
