Railroads invented by, George Stephenson, was a major factor is transporting goods. After the invention of the railroad, transporting and exporting goods became exponentially greater in America 's society. Railroads were also able to transport people faster than ever before. Situations such as “People can go to places easier and faster, time for travel dramatically dropped (not as long) , people could visit family and friends from far away after working for awhile. (Document 5) Many people after working long, hard hours would love to go home and see their family. By improving railroads the travel got easier, which created a bigger supply of money. Secondly, “In Business, railroads expanded market to new places and, big loads got to their destinations quicker and safer. (Document 5) Most people back in the 1800’s were unable to get to certain destinations because of certain problems in carriage riding. Business is a big part of the Industrial Revolution, providing a rise in the stock market and more money for employees. Including, “During the 1800’s, the amount of railroad track increased dramatically in Britain, the Continental Europe, and the United States”. By creating new inventions, America was able to gain money the economy changed dramatically. “As shown in picture #3, new factories were built and goods were transported out to create a fast way to earn money.” (Document #3) By faster and easier transportation, the goods were easily shipped out and transported to the rightful place. The economy was struggling a little before all this... The Industrial Revolution definitely put a positive dent in America 's society. Adding to that, “Factories were depended on to provide goods in order for the railroadss to transport.”(Document 5) Without the improvements from the Industrial Revolution the U.S would be struggling in many places, and a big attribute is the economy. Many people were allowed to work and although there was child labor and unfair paying, there is not really a sight of that in America 's society today.
