The Vietnam war started on November 1, 1955 and ended on April 30,1975. During that time there was many presidents involved for instance, Dwight D, Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, and Gerald R. Ford. However, the first president that send troops to help and support the South Vietnam and Diem was Eisenhower. Everything changed when Eisenhower gave a speech that it caughts other countries and The main point of this war was to stop communism from spreading because they didn’t want other countries to adapt to the same thing.

This was the turning point of the war because it was one of the largest military campaign that was set in motion by the Viet Cong and North Vietnamese. In addition it was a surprise attack on the United States.
FALL OF SAIGON The fall of Saigon was really important that it even left an impact because it was the one that marked an end to the Vietnam war and it also divided Vietnam of becoming Communist and lead them into the social party.

The draft was made by the United States Selective Service System which it involved lotteries to pick out men born in the year of 1944 to 1950. To serve in the military. PResident General ford stepped in and stated that they need to be 6 to 24 months
26 AMENDMENT
The 26 amendment was to change the voting age from 21 to 18 because young man were taking into the military and they were being denied to vote.

The role of the media had a huge impact on the the citizens opinion of the war. Because it was a coverage of many troops were affect and this really change people’s point of views and actions.
