The continuation of studies shows that children from secure families are still most religion based families. The negative side for these adult children is that it takes them decades to turn to God due to their detached styles, many are fearful that He too may be harsh and not provide the warmth and security they need.
According to Clinton and Sibcy building an attachment with God is just a basic principle of nature for all. “He is the one who sticks closer than a brother” Proverbs 18:24 (NIV). Truly stated all of us insecure and secure seek out God’s understanding when we are in our most desperate of times. The relationship with God does require a fair amount of discipline and those with insecure attachments may find this difficult, but it is stated that these adult children are highly like to convert to Christians because of the love they feel from God.
