“The Federalist" writings by Alexander Hamilton and James Madison
The Federalist writings were written to ease the fears of the people thinking that the Government had too much power at the expense of the states. They wanted to show the American people that having a constitution was necessary. Hamilton wanted to prove in the No.10 writing that having a strong national Government would help prevent factions from taking control. The writings did work, the constitution was ratified by all the stated in May 1790. I did a little research on the Federalist party; their platform is having a small Government with a checks and balances between the Government and the states that empowers the people and protects
