The internet is expected to grow tremendously in the next 10 years. History has shown us that the possibilities for advancement in technology are endless. However, these advancements may benefit or harm society as a whole. The future of the internet includes wearable technology in the digital age.
Theories involving wearable devices are a big topic in the reading, “The Internet of Things Will Thrive by 2025.” The reading states that these devices will be connected and embedded to human bodies through clothing or luggage. The benefit is that they will allow people to locate one another through the internet, and use nerve impulses to interact. These devices will make it so that people will be engaging in virtual worlds rather than the real world.
