The hindbrain is located at the rear of the skull. Hindbrain has three parts: medulla, cerebellum, and pons. The medulla controls breathing, regulating reflexes, and maintaining an upright posture of the body. It is also located by the spinal cord at where it enters the skull. The cerebellum is located beside the medulla. It is in charge of coordinating motor activity. For example, extensive damage can cause failure to even stand up. The last part of the Hindbrain is pons.
