The Bible explains Christ as being God in John 1:1-4 and 14, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... All things were made through him... In him was life... Prior to accepting Christ a believer experienced alienation from God. Christ restored man’s relationship with Him to a level of being called children of God through His death and resurrection (1 John 3:1).
