Presidents sticking to this faired badly and the most beloved failed as president. Whereas Nixon achieved the lowest ranks as a president; Nixon still went to China and ended the Vietnam War., but resigned the presidency in shame. Whereas, the political favors was the down fall of much Presidents; new and old changing public view. Which brings us to Adams, Van Burien, and Arthur were selling favors out to the wrong people and public disliked the presidents actions.
