Many tones are used in commercial’s, political campaign ads, and public health ads to arouse specific emotions, thoughts, and behavior. Some tones maybe “upbeat”, “helpful”, “sad”, “scary”, “wholesome”, “or energetic”, and even “dreary” (Kokemuller, 2016). Many advertisements are displayed as a story, with music at a slow, or fast pace to set a certain tone to its audience. How the character portrays his or her “attitude and moods” in the advertisements has a huge impact on persuading the viewers as well (Kokemuller, 2016). The tone, and settings are what brings out the emotions, and marketers know that people are “influenced by emotions when making decisions” (Kokemuller, 2016).
