I have noticed out of the many helping fields, there are four which hold high positions in the mental health field, 1) Psychiatry. 2) Psychology. 3) Social Workers. And 4) Counselors. Factors which make up a counselors’ professional identity are, career development, associations, accreditation, capability, ethics, certifying, concentration, morals, role perception, self-concept. Although developing a professional identity in counseling is done during the years of learning and possibly after graduating their masters’ program. Counselors in trainings’ professional identity would be while in the learning process and is defined through the educators and mentors.
