Recommendations in the Irish Food Pyramid
The Food Pyramid is a dietary guideline that emphasizes a varied diet and helps monitor dietary needs. Foods from all of the shelves should be eaten, in the recommended amounts, for a healthy diet [3]. Consuming all the recommended number of daily servings from each of the five shelves of the Food Pyramid is a very important habit that should be developed and practiced by everyone.
