A leader needs apply managerial leadership skills when lead an organization. As we know, there are three skills which are technical skill, interpersonal skill and decision-making skill. (Lussier, R. N., & Achua, C. F., 2013)
Based on the findings that we have done before, we found that Datuk Abdul Farid Alias has an extensive technical skill in his leadership management. However, he is insufficient in interpersonal skill and decision-making skill. In other words, it is not to say that the managerial leadership skill that Datuk Abdul Farid Alias applied is not good. First, he sends the personal written email about what his opinion and important business’s topic to every employee during every Monday over past three years. This can serves the whole the company to truly connect and engage together. Besides, he also answers employees’ email within 24 hours as employees want to be heard and feel appreciated. He also will hold a town hall meeting no matter the location of offices is different or not in order to have face-to-face conversations. He can learn a new idea or having great deal about what is happening in his business which can improve the team make better decisions. (David Krantz, 2015)
