The human immune system is a true strong-hold and defender, which response firmly and swiftly to attacks from foreign invaders. It has the ability to manipulate change in order to optimize the response and quarantine many of the unwanted intrusions. The Human immune system has many purposes. They include, defending the body against infectious microorganisms, such as fungi, bacteria and viruses-by destroying and resisting them. The Human immune system is compromised of multiplex and crucial cellular networks and organs that defend against infection. Most of the time, it’s effects is very phenomenal, also conversely it can become compromised causing it to attack self-cells .In this …show more content…
According to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, “the leukocytes circulate through the body between the organs and nodes via lymphatic vessels and blood vessels. In this way, the immune system works in a coordinated manner to monitor the body for germs or substances that might cause problems.” Leukocytes comprises of phagocytes and lymphocytes, with each having a distinct function. Phagocytes cells consume foreign invaders, while lymphocytes cells create a memory system to recognize and destroy past invaders. In the human body, there are two types of lymphocytes –B and T. They originate via bone marrow where some reside and transform into B cells, while others migrate to the thymus gland, and transform into T cells. The B and T lymphocytes produces different functions. The B -lymphocytes are the body 's special intelligence unit. They hunt their perspective targets while encouraging defenses to engage them. The T- cells are the ground army soldiers, which engulf the invaders, that was recognized by the intelligence …show more content…
According to Goronzy JJ, Weyand CM (2007, chapter 42), “They include fatigue, fever and General ill-feeling . Tests that may be done to diagnose an autoimmune disorder may include Anti-nuclear antibody tests.” The test measures the levels of blood antibodies that work against the individuals. The antinuclear antibodies (ANA) test can help recognized compromise in the body such as Rheumatoid arthritis. Another important auto immune disorder test is C-reactive protein (crp). This test recognizes the high level of liver bi-product c- reactive protein in the body, due to inflammation. Patients are treated after test in order to strengthen the body immune system and suppress the disorder. Treatment of choice for Auto immune disorder depends on the patients’ symptoms. Blood transfusions are needed for blood auto immune disorders. People whose muscles, bones and movement are affected by autoimmune disorder are given immunosuppressive medication such as corticosteroids to minimize the
