Although we can not fully understand the Trinity, we can answer these questions and come to the solid understanding of what it means to be three.

If Jesus and the Father are God, they are different people. So Jesus prayed to God without praying to Himself. The Bible is clear that all three hundred and every hundred percent are God. Father, Son, Holy Spirit is one God. For example, Colossians 2: 9 says about Christ, "The fullness of the deity is in the form of the body." We should not think of God as "above" that we cut God into three pieces, each part representing each individual.It makes every man completely less than God and hence is not God.
