One noteworthy occurrence that I can think of in this fluctuating moral atmosphere is the growing quantity of persons who discard obligation on behalf of their individual activities. For an example, often offenders of crimes are typically irritated once they are called upon to accept the penalties of their actions. Usually, they defer the culpability of their deeds upon others or other uncontrollable variables -- at no time do they ever take responsibility. Therefore, absence of any emotion of individual obligation, they continue to duplicate the activities/behavior over and over, still in strong denial of individual responsibility. Nevertheless, I guess you are wondering how or what this has to do with integrity and ethics and a political climate. Awkwardly as it is, our current environment is perpetuated by many of our political and social establishments, which consist of our own legal system, which come to no surprise that this political institution in my opinion, habitually fails to assign responsibility or execute penalty to the offender; however, its places blame on the offender 's background or atmosphere or a multitude of additional unproven reasons of, and unsubstantiated reasons for the misbehavior. However with that said, there are those who over step these boundaries with persistent immoral or dishonest behavior. There are numerous strategies a leader can use to instill integrity and ethics and core values of law enforcement agencies. Some are quit complex; however, the simplest strategy begins with the hiring/selection process. However, separating the haves from the have nots is any part of the process. The most important takeaway from the final segment is the term “leader”. Without effective leadership and leadership training you have a police environment in disarray. Without a doubt, ethical behavior and solid leadership skills are essential to policing. Leaders of today must ensure they are providing officers with the necessary skill sets that are effectively cultivating future leaders with skills that can aid in the support and creation of a process for an environment with great integrity and ethics.
