• Acting as the theorist of the project, co-leader Robert Riglietti has consulted with his advisor Dr. Ian Reyes, a professor of communication studies with a focus in media, regarding journals and passages that are pertinent to the project. These include: The Network Society by Manuel Castells, Various papers by Danah Boyd, and Who Owns the Future by Jaron Lanier. Having instigated the project, and spearheaded the formation of the concept and partnership, Rob acts as the ‘Heart’ of the project.

First, I’ve been very interested in research and critical thinking, particularly when it comes to how I can incorporate these into my own art projects. This project’s rationale is more theory based than it is utilitarian. I find this to be a pressing topic that many can find interesting due to its relevance in our rapidly changing society, and a wonderful opportunity to learn how to conduct research and measure results. Second, I have always wanted to gain experience in entrepreneurship, developing new products, and making new ideas come to life. With the opportunity to conduct an entrepreneurial venture in a controlled environment with very little risk, Kira and I can learn with little to no financial repercussions. Aside from personal gain, I want to create an awareness of how Americans are developing
