Both books described that the bad/ the evil are those of had the most power compared to the others and unfortunately, those who do not have power, even though they were destined for good things, certainly could not be able to resist against them. In Animal Farm, the story shows that power tends to corrupt. Napoleon and Snowball, the two pigs, were far more superior than the other animals and because of that, they were able to control how things would run in the farm according to their own desires. Initially, the animals thought that equality and peace could be achieved when Mr. Jones, their master, gets kicked out and the pigs took charge instead. But as Napoleon and Snowball took charge, their superiority and desire for power overtook them which caused them to become greedy for power. “Animal Farm” is mainly based on anthropomorphism, where animals were given human qualities and were able to speak and act like them, especially when the pigs were starting learn to act and dress like humans. This helps readers to identify the allegory that is very evident in the story, where the animals represent as Russian political figures that completely lie outside the idea of farms and nature. “Animal Farm” signifies the Russian Revolution and Soviet Russia, where Old Major represents Vladmir Lenin, who inspired the his people to rebel against the previous Russian Empire, Mr. Jones represents Czar Nicholas II, the reigning leader who was eventually thrown down from his title, Napoleon represents Joseph Stalin, who became the leader of the new Russian Empire, Snowball represents Leon Trotsky, Stalin’s aid who was eventually eliminated by Stalin himself, Squealer represents the Pravda, the newspaper that made propaganda for the Russian Party, the dogs represent the KGB, the secret police who protected Stalin and the other animals as the Proletariat, the working class who were given no choice but to listen to their leader Stalin.
