It is important to analyze the psychological and social aspects of hazing, more importantly it is vital that we explore what we can do to prevent hazing.

This is especially critical when many view hazing as an effective way to teach respect and develop discipline within the group, and believe hazing is a way of building conformity into a social group, something that can be seen in many sociological studies. Being part of a group can produce feelings of social identity ,rewards during initiations or hazing rituals matter in that it initiates who feel more rewarded express stronger group identity. High schools, colleges and even universities should host presentations on Hazing. Make students aware of this evil crime and how it affects the student body and young people around them. Education on the results of practicing these rituals may soften the hearts of the sorority or group leaders. Give examples of incidents all over the world not limited to the United states. Let students hear the stories of other victims of hazing, how it damaged their lives and changed them. Let students hear the testimonies of the families who had their children died from engaging in hazing rituals. The more educated we are on hazing the more likely we are to discourage or help someone who is being a victim. Also, we need to encourage students to report hazing. Let them know that they have a voice. Local authorities need to visit schools and let students know that they are listening. Provide security that when the students come to authorities for help they will receive it. In addition, provide alternatives for hazing. Do seminars, talks documentaries on other ways to fit into sorority groups. Find positive ways to express loyalty to your group. Suggest dances, go on camping trips, environment work or voluntary work which will help students bond with other members of the group in a positive
