I believe the apathy that affects Brazilian society is our most serious issue. This apathy allows for corruption to grow, and issues such as poverty and hunger, lack of security, international debt and even ecological problems become much more difficult to fix than they should, as the bureaucracy and the lack of ethics stand on the way of proper solutions. I have become tired of hearing my peers muttering the words “He stole, but he did some good.” when speaking about statesmen.The misappropriation of funds became so terribly common, people seem to forget it shouldn’t happen.

The cordial man defines a marking trait of the brazilian personality and character. Despite what the name suggests, however, the cordial man is exactly the opposite of polite; mask, a mean to avoid the societal conventions and formalities by establishing a family/ friend like relation to any social interaction.
