Although the Middle East counties’ education systems emerged around the same time, how they are structured varies in each of the countries. The basic break down in the Middle East is a lower or primary level for about 10 years. The primary level is required and free for the students. After primary school, a majority of students move onto secondary education. In most countries, the secondary education is divided into three categories: general academic, teacher training, and vocational to technical. Vocational is further divided into industrial, commercial, agricultural, nursing, and domestic sciences. Next the students can move on to tertiary education.
