Nero’s palace:
Nero’s palace is popularly known as the Golden House of Nero. In latin it is known as Domus Aurea. The palace was built by one of the infamous roman emperor “Nero”. The construction work of the palace started around AD 65 and it was finished within three years.

There were also pools of water all around the building. There was also a big octagonal room, which had a concrete dome.There were a lot of banquet rooms in the ground floor of the palace. There were a lot of great wall paintings on the banquet rooms. There was a big courtyard which had many rooms.And in one of its room there was a picture of Zeus forcibly taking Ganymede. The room had gilded ceiling.
Nero wasted a lot of resources while building this palace.After his death his successors did not try to preserve the palace. Nero’s successors use the building parts of the palace to build other buildings. As a result most of the building structure had disappeared.

The palace of Domitian’s was built by roman emperor Domitian. He was not a very popular ruler. To reaffirm his power he built this lavish palace.
