To begin with, visibility is defined as the state of being exposed (“Visibility,” n.d.). The Saints had a great advantage in this area over the Roughnecks. Because of this, the Saints were given far more lenient treatment as a result from their families social standing. In addition, the Saints had the ability to remove themselves from the community and travel in a vehicle. For example, the Saints would travel to the Big Town on the weekends, which was a city located 25 miles away from Hanibal. Big Town populated over a million people and was the perfect venue for the Saints to commit mischief without getting caught. During the week, the Saints would travel to a pool hall located and the end of town. Unfortunately, the same could not be said for the Roughnecks as they did not have access to car.
