Life, the simplest word that has so much meaning to someone. Does anything even matter? In chapter ten of “What does it all mean?” Nagel says that in two-hundred years, nothing will really matters. Even if you write a book, the world will collapse and it is like nothing ever happened. For example, this essay, what is truly the point of writing this essay? If God is not helping me writing this paper right now, can he be here? yes, but if I fail this paper he did not really help. So what did he do? I am a believer of God, but I believe in energy and the things you do more. I believe if you have good energy around you, good things will come to you. The point I am trying to make is that the God can help you spiritually and maybe mentally, but ultimately the only person who is going to help you is yourself. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, our lives are not fully lived if we are not willing to die for those we love, for what we believe. Whatever religion you are or whatever you believe in if you think it is right for you then by all means, it is right. For me Thomas Nagel is just trying life is too short, so who cares about anything, and I couldn 't agree more. Honestly, why should you stress life, with what you do or who you are spending your precious time with. You 're going to die anyway might as well live life to the fullest while you can. If you ask any person on the street what life is I am pretty sure they will laugh and say “you work, pay bills and then you die”, because they think
