A Pawnee Journey

Long, long ago in the plains there lived a village. A village of the Pawnee. In the Pawnee culture, a village like that was called a band. A celebration was going on called the Powwow. It was loud and cheerful. You could hear music and voices. You could see people in colorful clothes. Here goes the story… “WHOOO HOOOO!” cried a boy named Pawn who was in that band. The Pawnee tribe and people were a fierce, wonderful, and brave group. Pawn went inside a tipi and saw a picture of The Creator God. For some reason, he thought that she was a fraud and not true. Oh look on their face. A bad thing about Pawn was that he did not think before he spoke. A sad thing was that his heart was empty meaning there was no love in it.

“I better get inside a tipi,” Pawn said to himself. He slowly and quietly walked into a tipi. Inside the tipi is was warm and comfortable. It was small but warm. The sweet scent of corn filled the air. Lying on the floor was fresh buffalo and corn unlike the one he ate everyday for the past few days. Pawn checked to see if anyone was coming. No one was coming in. He took a bite of the buffalo and then the corn. Sweet, chewy, soft, and delicious is what it was. Pawn loved it, for he had not eaten food buffalo for the past few days. “This is absolutely amazing!” he whispered loudly to himself. Pawn walked back outside and saw a girl. He was in love. She had long, wavy, hair. Light, hazelnut, wide, and beautiful would describe her eyes. She was beautiful. Pawn went back inside another tipi and tried to find clothes to blend in.
In the third tipi he visited he found some clothes and wore them, again he was mindless. Pawn walked back outside and looked for the girl he had seen
