The things I have ascertained crucial in this life are: God, Family, health, and happiness. God has touched my life in more ways than one, and through his word I build my foundation. From the very beginning my family has lead me in the path of Christianity. I couldn’t ask for a better family even though it’s not the “average”. They, as well as my friends, always know how to make me happy. I’m also very thankful to participate in a vigorous and thrilling activity with almost all of them. Unfortunately, things on this earth can’t stay “perfect”, but if some things didn't change I wouldn't be the person I am today.

Because of that situation my grandfather had always felt like a father to me, and it helped that he lived just around the corner with my grandmother. October 3rd of last year hit us out of nowhere, as my grandfather went to be with the Lord. He had always put the needs of others before himself and did whatever he needed to make it easier for everyone else. Ever since he passed i’ve tried to be more like him and have the characteristics he had.
Joining marching band also helped me when going through the loss of my grandfather. Before this activity I wasn’t as mature and self disciplined as I am now. It has pushed and encouraged me to do my best every single day no matter what i'm doing. I’m also surrounded by people who have the same passion, and are a part of the team. Everyone in band is a part of the band family and we help each other out along the way.
In conclusion, if it wasn’t for the things i've been through already I wouldn't be the same. So many things I’ve already encountered have changed my life, and encouraged me to strive for my best every day. I hope to continue and gain positive characteristics along the way. I also hope to help and make a difference in people's lives. I strongly believe everything happens for a reason, and I wouldn’t change anything for the
