There are five positions that make up the offensive line. There is the center the one in middle of the offensive line. The center snaps the football to the quarterback. On the right and left side of the center are the guard. The guard can block for the running back and block for the quarterback too. On the end of the offensive line you got the right and left tackle. The tackle is considered a very important player for the quarterback because they must pass block for the quarterback. They make sure the quarterback does not get hit on their “blind side” of a right or left handed quarterback. Some teams have one, two or no tight ends in the game at a given time. Tight ends are offensive linemen and receivers. Now you got the skills players there are the wide receivers they are the players that far away from where the ball is place. They line up on or near the line of scrimmage. Wide receiver’s skills are the ability to get open, to catch passes, and to have speed. There is the running back the one who line up in the backfield.
