Their long sharp claws also help with traction in the snow as well. Like dogs, the gray wolf has keener senses of hearing and smelling than humans. Their hearing ability of a Timber wolf is 20 times sharper than a human's.The wolves sense of smell is also greater than humans, it's 100 times stronger than a human's.
