We use it everywhere we go. It can be view as something that most people cannot live without, and it also view as something we need to live without. Some people fear that too much of it can conclude in the ending of the world, while others associate it as a beginning of a new revolution. But it was not always like this. There used to be no such thing as a technological revolution, yet it has made one of the biggest impacts to our world. Technology has a deeper meaning than how people perceive it to the naked eye in this decade. In the past, the revolution of technology was highly sought after. The invention of water, steam, and gas power brought a whole new meaning to the world of production. Businesses were then able to produce …show more content…
These revolutions allowed people to work, eat, and live differently than they were used to. Consider the Industrial Revolution, increasing mass production throughout all of Europe all because businesses found a different way to increase the power of their production rate. Johnathan Dewald, author of Industrial Revolution, discusses the effects the great technological revolution had on the old world. In his reading he states “ The Quantity and variety of good manufactured rose accordingly…Britain produced about 30,000 tons of pig iron in 1760, about one million tons in 1810” (Johnathan 1). Dewald celebrates the fact that technology is the exclusive reason behind the booming success of the European economy. Dewald also shows this by explaining how since businesses got a new edge with technology, they can increase the amount of goods sold within a year. They can also increase different varieties of good sold throughout the area. I confirm the statement Dewald makes, because in order for a different variety of good to manufactured within the area. That means an increase of technology has to be brought up in different areas of the world also. The technological revolution of the early ages has allowed mass amounts of produce to be stored and higher quality goods to be sold. Compared to revolution back in the 1800s, the way we use technology has increased astonishingly. We are the midst of another technological revolution, and how we handle the revolution will set up the way we live in the near future. So far, the technological revolution we live in has allowed us to do nearly anything and everything at nearly the touch of the button. Some wonder how much more advanced can this world get, but it is only just the beginning. Kevin Kelly, author of Better than Human: Why Robots Will—and Must—Take Our Jobs, Discusses a new technological revolution, robots. Today, robots have already created a high number of instruments and gadgets that we use daily. Also changing the way we do everything in our world. In his reading Kelly says “Without automation, we could not make a single computer chip—a job that required degrees of precision, control, and unwavering attention that our animal bodies don’t possess” (Kelly 306). Kelly believes that it is critical humans let robots take over our jobs, so we are able to work better with them, and it can also create new jobs. Kevin Kelly is surely right the revolution of robotics because, as history shows, revolution has always been a rather great thing for the world. As he may not be aware, without robotics, the technological advances that we has in automobiles, business
