As an illustration, the pair Mel and Terri are drinking alcohol and reminiscing romantic and passionate stories. Mel’s wife stated that Terri loved her generously, but even tried to put her life in danger. The abusive relationship makes the relationship stand on a rocky cliff. However, Terri’s first husband tried to attack Mel because of their differences and seems annoyed when Mel is spoken about. Since Mel is intoxicated with liquor, he speaks cruel and abusive words towards his wife Terri. As the matter of fact, Mel consumes alcohol frequently he becomes more garrulous, and discloses that love is not enduring and death is approaching soon. While being self-conscious, Mel reveals his apprehension for love and if something to happen to him and his wife in the future, the significant other would be able to love again and it will be filled with memories. This notion of love and life comes from Mel in his inebriated state. However, he claims that he can say those words in his sober state of mind. Mel’s speech and thoughts have been declined due to his alcoholism. Furthermore, as for Mel being a cardiologist reclaims that a couple struggles to survive and enjoy life because of alcohol addiction.
