Topic: High School Graduation Speech
General Purpose: To inform and persuade the audience to become better public speakers.
Specific Purpose: The purpose of this speech is to not only to persuade the audience, but to inform them with my experiences giving a Salutatorian speech during my senior year of high school. This will help the audience gain an understanding of how strenuous and inspirational delivering a speech at a public place can be.
Thesis Statement: At the end of this speech, I hope that the audience understands my experiences of public speaking at a public place to get a better idea of how strenuous doing public speaking at a public place would be.

When my family and I got ready to go, I took my speech with me so I will not misplace it.
1.My family and I went from the house to Downtown Detroit to go to a place called Cobo Hall, where the graduation ceremony was taking place.
2.I regroup with the rest of my senior classmates.
3.Before the ceremony, everyone was awarded a certificate of excellence.
II.The graduation ceremony was about to start.
B. Everyone lined in the hallway a couple of feet from the auditorium.
1. National Honors Society students lined up side by side while the other students followed them.
2.The national anthem was played before the faculty spoke.
3.The teacher and other faculty members talked about the challenges that will happen outside of the high school environment.
III. The first few students presented their speech especially myself.
1.The senior class president did the speech first after the main speakers, but it did not turn out well.
2.The valedictorian presented the speech really well, but like the class president it did not grab the audience' attention.
3.When I got called to speak, not only did I talk to the audience on the left side, but also the whole
