In the classical Tamil literature there were many poets who were always held with high respect in Tamil nadu history. Some of the notable literary Tamil poets and their contributions were discussed above. Even though Tamil classical literature had many number of famous works, which were translated and placed at high respect, it is the Thirukkural written by Tiruvallur which is always held at high respect because of the author Tiruvallur’s way of presenting the poems and its virtues.
