The definition of peacefulness is free from war, strife, commotion, violence or disorder. I think that describes Canada very well. Of course we have a little of what is listed above, but overall, Canada is known as a peaceful nation. The last major war that Canada was involved in was in Afghanistan from 2001-2002 called Operation Enduring Freedom. The only thing that our military has been involved in since in peacekeeping in the Middle East. That means that Canada has been peaceful for over a decade. Up and until the parliament shooting, Canada had not been under any serious threat of terrorism compared to most counties as developed as we are, such as the United Kingdom and the United States. The freedom of religion that Canada has is a big attraction for people wanting to move here. Some of the people who move here are coming to our country because they cannot practice their religion in the country they just came from. They may have even been persecuted in their home country just because of the religion they choose to follow. Canada has a wide variety of jobs for all sorts of people. Some people move here because there are not many jobs available in their home country. Canada has all sorts of jobs ready for the people when they move here. From manual labour to management, Canada has it. Canada's multiculturalism is a big draw for people wanting to move here, the two outlined in this paragraph are the freedom of religion and
