Foods can have negative effects on the thyroid
There are not many that you have to avoid, but you will want to eat these in moderation to prevent any negative effects. You should limit foods that contain goitrogens to small amounts and make sure to cook them this will decrease their affects.
Due to the goitrogens and their affects on the thyroid the following foods should be consume in moderation, broccoli, kale, spinach, cabbage and cauliflower. This does not mean you cannot eat them, it just means do not eat 2 pounds of them in one day.
