Goal-setting is important, but one cannot perform at their best if their are straining—mentally, financially or otherwise. If you personally ever feel that your mental health is at risk, and it is detracting from your academics or college experience as a whole, do yourself a favor and schedule a meeting with CAPS (Counseling and Psychological Services). Though I have never attended a session, I wish I had; friends and acquaintances who recommended CAPS only had praise for it. Even if therapy seems unnecessary, it can be worthwhile to speak with a professional in this usually transformative period in people’s lives.
