Report Question: Wood
The uncertainty of the volume of the wood was 2.40*10-4%. The uncertainty of the mass of the wood was 3.11*10-6%. The uncertainty of the density measurement is .77 ± 1.87*10-4. According to my wood's density, …show more content…
As the length of the pendulum decreases, the time elapsed to reach a full oscillation decreases. The relationship follows the functional relationship of a linear function, as "X" (length of pendulum) decreases, "Y" (Time elapsed for oscillation) decreases.
Report Question: Bio-metrology
According to Table 5, there was no correlation between the circumference of a person's head and their heart rate. One reason for this outcome is because the circulatory system is not dependent on size of a person's head. However, there was a correlation between the wrist and neck circumference. There was a positive correlation between wrist and neck circumference. The pattern between the neck and wrist circumference conveyed that the larger the wrist, the larger the neck.
CONCLUSION:
Section 10 concluded the lab with the expected results for each exercise. With the tools given, uncertainty played a role in obtaining a range of values for each measurement, but did not significantly impact the relative values. For example, when estimating for pi, each of the values estimated were relatively close to 3.14159. The sources of error were mainly from the google maps website when drawing a circle with uneven pinpoints. With the uncertainty of proper spacing on the map, the computer software might have overestimated or underestimated the exact values. In conclusion, each exercise has served its purpose
