America’s Finest Model of Representation As a Democratic country our nation thrives on the basic ideology that we are properly represented in our government; where our voices are being heard and that decisions are fairly being made in the favor of the people. The major dilemma with representation is deciding what model of representation is best suited for the constituents. As citizens we often feel obligated to get involved in the government on a more personal level hoping that we ourselves can make an impact with our proposed options and decisions. The problem with that is we do not always know what is best for ourselves. For example, if our nation was proposing ways to crack down on heavier security by heavier border patrol and restricting access to and from other countries, it is best that we rely on our trustee representative to represent our worries and concerns about the issue rather than trying to take the situation onto ourselves. If our representative believes that it is in our best interest to follow these strict guidelines of enforcement then we need to trust in him or her that they made the best choice for all of us that will eventually show to be the best outcome
