Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius once said: "He who does not know what the world [does] not know where he is, and he who does not know for what purpose the world exists, does not know who he is, nor what the world is." It is true that a person 's self-identity is hugely affected by his or her view of the world, and that a country or race 's self-image is based on its understanding of the universe. In the last century, China experienced an abrupt shift on the cosmology, which make people suddenly lost their identity in the fast developing world. The issue is far more complicated than it is on the first sight, and the process of is far more struggling.
