Students who live on campus have the chance to be academically prepared other than the ones who don’t live on campus. Living on campus gives students more opportunities because students who live on campus meet new people and find out about new places that can help them. The reason why students who don’t live on campus are academically unprepared is because they don’t have the same resource as the students who live on campus. “Additional research suggests that living on campus improves academic outcomes for all students for all students but has the greatest impact on students taking remedial coursework (“developmental” students)” (Schudde Para11). This is important to know because living on campus does give more opportunities. Another reason this is important is because of the social effect on living campus students have vs. the non- living on campus students
