During this trip, we camped, hiked, bonded and viewed spectacular wildlife. A moment that stands out in my mind when this connection with nature was build and we utilized romanticism was when we went on a hike in Glacier National Park, Montana up to a glacier. The serenity and focus I achieve surrounded by granite mountains, blossoming wildflowers, and pastel colored lakes truly opened my eyes up to the beauty of nature, the need to appreciate our planet, and the severed relationship, unhealthy most people have with the environment. As we started our journey, we broke from the last ties of civilizations,a brown and white swiss style mountain lodge nested nestled against the serene yet towering mountains, and boarded a total of two boats to cross cross two lakes. Once we debarked from the last boat, our real adventure had started. We needed to hike a total of six miles to reach the glacier. Walking along a winding trail, going up and up, we shared our journey with countless waterfalls, furry mountain goats, lush trees, the rolling clouds and the warmth of the sun. Up and up we climbed into the heart of the valley and in and out we breathed the fresh untainted air, connecting with the world around us and building a connection with our emotions, nature and the ideals of romanticism. As we hiked along we not only connected with nature, but with each other, sharing the hardships of our aches and the joys of the sereny with those around us as well as singing to melt to hardships of the exertion
