Introduction Welding is the process of joining two metals together by raising the temperature of one of the metals slightly higher than the other if it is different materials or same temperature for different materials. This is done by slightly …show more content…
Much emphasis has been placed on the different ways in which the welding occurs. In some scenarios, we find that robots that have already been completed and programmed are used to weld those in the process of creation. However, these robots still have to have much additional work which makes it difficult to guarantee that they will perfume to the required standard that they are expected to. When a robot is used to weld another robot, the process is not so smooth. Programming issues arise almost immediately. CAD software that is used to design this robots can be referred to at any time to address issues like this (Pires, Godinho and Ferreira …show more content…
These machines had major erection blocks that are common with robots. The first robot to be constructed was in 1960 and operated at Ford Company in 1961. The robots then were relatively simple with s Point to Point (PTP) control and spot welding coming shortly after. In the 1960 's, Trallfa (now ABB Robotics) was very different. The principle of this was that the programmer was to grab the robot end-effector and move it in time and space as the robot recorded the motions. Many of such programs with short cycle times were made in a short period and the finest one was picked for production. This method turned out to be a real solution for the application in mind (Bolmsjö, Olsson and Cederberg
