This is why, we must not forget the lessons we learned in our past. As well as lessons that are left behind so are meaningful people. In Scrooge’s case he left the memory of his kind sister in the past, as well as his lover. These women seemed to have kept Scrooge’s heart noble and kind, but once they left his side, he slowly became a cold hearted man.
The Ghost of Christmas Present seems to have had more depth in his persona. He exposes more symbols, and expresses his charisma in an unavoidable manner. When the Ghost of Christmas Present is introduced he is surrounded by a lavish spread of food, is clothed in a loose fitting green robe, and posses charming features. The spirit moves slowly, stalker like even, just like our future. Our lives to be are disguised, the spirit’s deep black garment symbolizes just that. The only part that was visible of the spirit was it’s outstretched hand pointing Scrooge the path he had to take. Scrooge decided to go on a different path one time when he was with the mysterious spirit. The spirit didn’t follow Scrooge and remind where it was. While we go through our life we can follow any path we chose, there will always be a path that is instructed to us but we are free to make a quick dash to the path that provokes our curiosity deeply. Scrooge makes his way back to the spirit with questions that remained unanswered by it. Nothing in the future is written in stone. We can always change our future, perhaps that’s why the spirit remained
