I chose this topic on Osteoporosis because I learned in the class, Asian and Caucasian people were once the only one who was most at risk of getting osteoporosis. There are several factors to considered could lead someone to have osteoporosis. There are the following: postmenopausal period for women, smoking, having diabetes, being petite or having it in the family history. I know that my mother’s side has a diabetes, which include my mother. But I am not sure if this disease has on my father’s side.
Here and now, from the class, I know that everyone is at risk of being diagnosed with osteoporosis. I do not like to drink soda as much, if I do, I drink occasionally. But, I do need to put on some more weight bearing exercise to make my bones stay in top shape.
