One might argue that the US had the right to go against the resolution because at the time, the League of Nations was already dissolved. Also, while the organization was still active, the US did not take any part in it, so they had the right to break the “rule” if they wanted to. Nevertheless, the US claims that it is a model for human rights, so it should at least obey the rule that all of the other nations agreed to follow. One may also object here by saying that nuclear weapons were not mentioned nor did they exist at the time of the resolution, so using the weapons were not against that law. However, the only reason why the atomic bomb was not included was because it was not invented until the July of 1945.
