Propaganda is biased information of a misleading nature, used to promote something new. Propaganda can seen in the use of posters, videos, commercials, photos, E.T.C. Using propaganda is very useful to a new incoming leader because it gets the word out to the people about how this new leader can be so great and how their beliefs and ideas can help change or grow their society. In both countries Soviet Union and Nazi Germany propaganda was used very heavily by the two leaders to help gain the support of the people. In Russia, Stalin took aggressive measures to get his country to where he wanted to be. He used propaganda to inform his people of new policies such as the law on terrorist organizations and terrorist acts, and gulag camps. These are just two of the many policies that Stalin had put into place. When it came to his government, he made work unfair due to the low salary and provided little food and water for people at work. Stalin put education as a must, and it allowed citizens who had not gotten an education to do so. Along with that all kids were able to go to school as well. Stalin used school for many reasons, such as to brainwash the children to accept and follow the ideas of his, and to educated people so that the production could increase. Stalin also believed that exercise was a vital part of a soviet union citizen’s life, so daily exercise was not only encouraged but made mandatory by schools, nurseries and employers. As for Hitler his views on education were somewhat similar. Hitler believed that kids were the future leaders, and that education could teach them how to be a leader like Hitler. Just like Stalin, Hitler also used the brainwashing technique to teach the kids to follow and like the beliefs of his. However, unlike Stalin the kids in school were taught how to fight rather than how to help the production increase. Kids were also taught basic classes like chemistry, biology, physics, and P.E. On the topic of P.E Hitler also prioritized physical exercise and also made it mandatory in schools. Over a couple of years the amount of schools had increased do to the the fact that there were almost 2 million kids attending.
