For southern Queensland and New South Wales, spring and early summer usually are the risky season for bushfires. It was happened in South Australia know as Ash Wednesday ll. It was a group of bushfire which happened in South Australia on 16 February 1983. More than 180 fired blew by the winds up to 110 km/h within twelve hours. That caused widespread destruction across the states of Victoria and South Australia.
In South Australia 28 people died and 47 more deaths in Victoria. This included 3 CFS and 14 CFA volunteer fire-fighters who died across both states that day. Many deceased were as a result of firestorm conditions because of the violent and sudden of wind change on that time which changed the direction and increase the size of the fire. Up to 8000 people have to abandon their place in Victoria.
