Would you rather be a person who always gets off track or a person who always stays on topic? Well, some people think Gregor Mendel’s discoveries was relevant to the science of genetics and heredity, while other people think it was biased or falsified. Yet a majority of people think that his discoveries was not relevant, but they might not know that Mendel was the one who started the laws of inheritance. How did he start the law of inheritance you might ask? Mendel was experimenting through pea plants and after that, his mindset changed. Since then his discoveries have been ignored and probably why people think that his discoveries were revalent. In addition, Mendel discoveries on heredity, genetics, and segregation are relevant in today’s knowledge of gene and inheritance
Furthermore, Mendel’s discovery on heredity is relevant to our knowledge of heredity. Mendel has done an experiment on the colors of flowers and said the purple was predictable …show more content…
Because Mendel principle of segregation stated that during the reproduction the process the cell must separate into a reproductive cell.(Biotechnology, 2016) This explains why Mendel idea of segregation is relevant because today knowledge, knowing that during the process of segregation go to the meiosis process. The law of segregation stated that when an organism makes gametes, each gamete receives just one gene copy, which is selected randomly.(Biotechnology 2016) This explain how segregation today’s knowledge shows that only one person can receive only one gene copy and this relates to the principle of segregation because without the process of the meiosis, the games wouldn't be able to make the gametes. In addition, the principle of segregation and the law of segregation are ways that contribute the idea of the meiosis process and the creations of
